The Best Pizza Recipes - Homemade Pizza Recipes - The Pioneer Woman

Pizza really is a slice of heaven. Just ask Ree Drummond: "I have a list of favorite pizzas so long, it stretches out the front door and well into our north pasture," she says. In fact, pizza is such a family favorite that Ree and Ladd opened their own pizzeria, P-Town in downtown Pawhuska. Take one bite of a pie there and you can tell that Ree is serious about the art, and science, of a great crust: It took 73 tries to get the house pizza dough just right! Ree was involved in every part of the process, including the secret sauce. (Hint: "We add Calabrian chili paste!" she says.)

If you can't get to Pawhuska to try Ree's pies, making one of these is the next best thing: The Pioneer Woman team created a foolproof homemade dough and sauce, then we dreamed up all sorts of fun twists: grilled pizzas, sheet-pan pizzas, French bread pizza and so much more. Check out our recipes, tips, and tricks, and you might never need to call for delivery again!

Start with the basics:

It's the family favorite! This recipe uses three kinds of cheese: grated parmesan for a hint of saltiness, low-moisture mozzarella for chewy texture, and fresh mozzarella for one epic cheese pull.

Skip the marinara! This homemade pizza sauce is used in many of the recipes below. All it takes is a can of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, seasonings, and balsamic vinegar for deeper flavor.
